In 2014, Christmas Lake was treated with a combination of Zequanox®, some physical removal, EarthTec QZ® (copper product), and potassium chloride. During post-treatment monitoring, adult mussels were found outside of the treatment area. In 2015, Christmas Lake was again treated with potassium chloride in a larger treatment area. Subsequent to treatment in 2015, zebra mussels were found lakewide and treatment was halted.
